Becoming A Foster Carer In The North West

Sadly, the number of children in care is at its highest since the 1989 Children Act, according to The Telegraph. Last year, in England, the number of children in care reached 69,540.

According to recent research, such children most long for a home which offers: a foster carer who makes them feel safe and secure; a foster carer who supports and helps them; and a foster carer who loves them. The Huffington Post reports these are the top three qualities sought by children who enter the foster care system. Tragically this isn’t always the kind of care that they end up receiving.

Fostering a child is guaranteed to have an impact on their life- do you think you could make it a positive one?
