JOB TITLE: Administrator – Foster CareLine

Salary: £17,000 – £20,000 (Pro-rata)

Location: Hooton – Ellesmere Port

Employment Type:  Part-time (22.5 hours a week)

Holiday Allowance: 20 days per annum

Foster CareLine is an Independent Fostering Agency who are committed to improving outcomes for Children. We are a small dedicated team of professionals who come together to provide quality foster care in the North West. 

Working alongside Local Authorities and in partnership with Social Services, Health Education and Families we provide caring and stable homes that are carefully matched to meet children’s individual needs. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted we are on the Contractor providers list and receive regular referrals from all 23 local authorities in the North-West. 

We are looking for an Administrator to join our team on a Part-time basis working 3 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm)

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE English & Mathematics to Grade C or equivalent
  • An understanding of OFSTED inspections.
  • A professional person, confident with good administration and organisational skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual   
  • Diplomatic and capable of handling complex situations
  • Demonstrates confidence in one own ability
  • Ability to handle difficult situations
  • Previous administration experience 
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills required
  • Proven organisation skills and time management

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the carer recruitment and carer review process is followed to ensure that all paperwork, checks references and other administrative requirements are in place when required;
  • To progress chase where necessary to ensure documentation is returned and available;
  • To regularly report to the Service Manager and Supervising Social Workers about the progress of carer assessments and review documentation;
  • Responsible for taking, producing and distributing the Foster Panel minutes to agreed standards and timescales. Minute, produce and distribute the minutes for other meetings as required; 
  • Organise the catering for the Fostering panel, purchasing food and refreshments when required;
  • Responsible for all uploading of information onto carers files; and
  • To be involved in the monitoring and reporting arrangements for the Panel.

JOB TITLE: Supervising Social Worker – Foster CareLine

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000

City: Ellesmere Port

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours per week: 37 Hours a week

Holiday Allowance: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker, who is ambitious and resourceful. You will be joining our energetic and experienced team based in Ellesmore Port in the North West.

Essential Criteria:

  • HCPC registered Social worker
  • Degree in Social work or equivalent 
  • Experience of working in Fostering
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car
  • Commitment to working flexible hours

Job Description: 

  • Supervise and support allocated foster carers and the children and young people in placement.
  • Complete all necessary documentation associated with the care of children and young people and their foster carers in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to and participate in local foster carer recruitment activities
  • Undertake initial visits to prospective foster carers
  • Undertake the assessment of prospective foster carers and present to the Fostering panel
  • Ensure referrals for placements are managed in line with the companies agreed processes
  • Work with Local authority colleagues to develop and maintain excellent working relationships between the two agencies
  • Ensure that foster carers are aware of training available and are supported to attend 
  • Promote with foster carers, children and young people the value of being involved in engagement and participation.
  • Promote and enhance the Foster CareLine ethos and values to external parties to help build the reputation of the company with Local Authorities and Stakeholders
