Nicci Willock – Director of Fostering
Nicci became Director of Fostering for Foster Careline in November 2017. Joining Five Rivers Child Care (owners of Foster Careline) as Head of Fostering Services in 2012, she became Director of Fostering Services in January 2016. She completed her Degree and Post Graduate Practice Educator & Management Qualifications, having qualified as a Social Worker in 1988. With an extensive background in children’s services, working for Local Authorities and the Voluntary Sector with Barnardos, Nicci specialised in Fostering in 1991 and moved into the Independent Sector in 2002. Since then, she has held many Senior Management roles, focussing on strategic developments; securing new business and quality improvements across the Service, in particular, Consultation with foster carers and participation with Children & Young People looked after. Nicci has developed a range of niche services for children transitioning from residential care; specific foster placement services for children with complex needs and disabilities and Parent & Child assessment placements.
Pauline Fitzgerald – Service Manager
Pauline is a Social Worker with over 10 post qualifying years experience. She holds an MA in Social Work and is a Practice Educator. Pauline has over 5 years experience in front line child protection and fostering. Pauline has been the Registered Manager of Foster Careline Ltd, since July 2017.
Michael Gledhill – Office Manager/Support Worker
Michael is experienced in Social Care Support and Administration.
He has completed a course in Mental Health and Social Care.
He has an interest in the mental health of LAC.
He is also our Health and Safety Officer and is a trained First Aider.
Kimberley Williams – Supervising Social Worker
Kimberley holds an MA in Social Work and a BA HONS in Criminology. She joined us, as a student, in January 2016 and is employed as a Supervising Social Worker, having qualified in June 2016. Prior to joining Foster Careline, Kim has spent time with children and young people in a variety of settings including educational intervention settings and working with vulnerable families in their homes. Since being with Foster Careline, Kimberley has completed further training including Attachment, Brain Development and Domestic Abuse Training.
Bernie has a wide and diverse experience of social work. Since qualifying in 1998 she has worked for a number of local authorities and children’s charities including Barnardo’s and Action for Children. She holds a BA (Hons) in applied social studies a Diploma in Social Work and the post-qualifying award in Social Work. Bernie is also a qualified PAMS assessor. She has specialised in working with disabled children and their families and has also experience of working with looked after children over a number of years.
Toni Rees – Supervising Social Worker
Toni holds a BA (Hons) in Social Work. She joined Foster Careline as a student in February 2015 and is now employed as a Supervising Social Worker, having graduated in June 2015. Prior to joining Foster Careline, Toni worked with Children and Young People in a variety of settings including a homeless project, working with 16-19 years olds with complex needs, supporting their resettlement within the community. She also worked as a volunteer within a Children’s Centre and for a Young Carers project, undertaking home assessments, group supports and 1:1 counselling sessions for young people.
Student Social Workers
In addition to our permanent members of staff, we offer placements to social work students from Chester and Liverpool Universities.
