Becoming a Carer

Foster children in a local park

Many people can become Foster Carers :

You can be Married, Single, Male, Female, Unemployed, Employed or Retired. We welcome applications from people of every ethnicity culture and religion. You may be a home owner or tenant. Each applicant will be considered on an individual basis.

We do not rule out working Foster Carers but would prefer one Foster Carer to be at home at least on a part time basis or to have flexible working conditions in order to be available when needed.

You will need a genuine desire to work with and care for a child/young person. You will have the time, commitment, understanding, energy and patience to help them to reach their potential to grow and develop.
