How we Support our Carers

We have developed our support package by listening to our Foster Carers. We are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

We know fostering isn’t a 9-5 job that is why we are always available so you can talk to someone day or night. As a Foster Carer you are there to help a child or young person feel safe, secure and cared for. We care for our Foster Children too and spend a great deal of time planning support for them.

We are also here to do the same for you by supporting you every step of the way. You will not be expected to cope alone! Whatever you need just let us know and we’ll be there. We are a Dedicated Friendly Team and as well as having your own Supervising Social Worker you will have access to support from others such as an Independent Visitor, Counsellor, Therapist, Support Worker and Educationalist.

You will also have access to our telephone helpline 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. You will have membership to the Fostering Network and Fosterr Talk, which are nationwide organisations that have been set up to specifically support Foster Carers. We have regular Foster Carer Forums and Peer Mentoring. You will receive regular training and will be encouraged to contribute to our training agenda each year.
